2026 Salary Range: $61,722.00 - $97,087.00/Year (includes locality)

This position is open exclusively to current Department of War (DoW) Federal Employees. Applicants must submit their most recent SF50 to verify eligibility. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an independent planner for all resources planning and control through development of production processes, labor standards, methods time measurement (MTM) studies and material standards.

This position is a developmental (GS-09 Target GS-11) position. Individual selected may be promoted without further competition, upon meeting all legal and regulatory requirements. Starting salary indicated on this vacancy announcement is for the GS-09. This position is covered by a formalized training program.

Positions filled through this announcement, will convert to the AcqDemo equivalency once the full performance grade is reached.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of standard accepted industrial engineering practices to develop innovative approaches, methods, and procedures for efficient and economic processing of industrial, physical science, and metrology work processes, facilities, methods, materials and equipment.

2. Knowledge of safety and occupational health requirements as outlined in applicable standards, regulations, and/or technical orders.

3. Knowledge of the operations, services, needs, and goals of management and their program(s); the organizations studies or served; and related customers, functions, resources, and users.

4. Knowledge of current automation technology and practices sufficient to evaluate the effectiveness of its use and provide assistance to others.

5. Ability to read engineering and architectural plans and specifications; gather, analyze, and present data and support analyses such as manpower validation exercise; and contracting out studies; and research, analyze, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures.

6. Ability to independently plan, coordinate, and organize work to identify problems and develop innovative solutions; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain good working relationships.

Additional Position Requirements:

1. Work may occasionally require temporary travel by government and/or commercial means.

2. Duty during weekends or irregular shifts may occasionally be required in support of surge workloads, exercises, contingencies or emergencies.

3. The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for the position.

4. All personnel share responsibility for work area safety and are required to comply with all applicable safety directives. Unsafe conditions are immediately reported to the immediate supervisor.

5. The work requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
