Summary

Low Voltage Cabling Technician
Location: Connecticut
We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Cabling Technician to support ongoing commercial cabling projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing, terminating, and testing structured cabling systems and can work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Pull, route, terminate, label, and test Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A and fiber cabling
  • Terminate patch panels, jacks, racks, and network hardware
  • Build and dress IDF/MDF rooms, including racks and cable management
  • Install cable pathways (J-hooks, ladder rack, innerduct, cable tray)
  • Read and work from blueprints and floor plans
  • Test and troubleshoot cabling using Fluke or similar testers
  • Follow all CT licensing, safety, and quality standards
  • Complete work orders, test results, and project documentation

Requirements
  • 1-3+ years of commercial low-voltage or structured cabling experience
  • Experience with copper terminations (fiber a plus)
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and overhead environments
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
  • Ideally have a T-2 License and if not still apply

This is a Contract position based out of New London, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
