Senior Java SDET

Introduction

International Solutions Group (ISG) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to lead the quality engineering and test automation initiative for a major modernization project of our core enterprise application. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in architecting and executing the automation testing strategy for upgrading our internal legacy infrastructure to Java 21 and Spring Framework 6.x.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive API Testing & Verification: Architect and execute a robust API testing strategy to validate the new RESTful microservices and backend endpoints exposed during the Spring 6.x migration.
• End-to-End UI Testing with Playwright: Design, build, and maintain scalable E2E automation frameworks using Playwright (Java) to validate complex user workflows.
• Migration Verification & Regression Testing: Implement integration and regression test suites to validate the migration of legacy Apache Struts MVC architectures to Spring 6.x.
• Java 21 Compatibility Testing: Architect test suites to validate application behavior under Java 21, specifically stress-testing virtual threads.
• Automated Quality & Linting Recipes: Utilize OpenRewrite recipes to automatically analyze code quality and detect regressions.
• Server & Environment Validation: Validate application behavior across infrastructure changes.
• Container & Integration Testing: Engineer integration testing strategies for containerized Spring microservices.
• Database & Persistence Layer Testing: Design data validation and performance tests to ensure data integrity during transitions.
• AI-Assisted Test Engineering: Leverage modern developer tools to accelerate test script generation and diagnose automation test failures.

Requirements

• Required Skills: Java, Playwright, Rest, Postman
• Preferred Skills: Experience with Spring Framework, AI-assisted development tools
