Job DescriptionAs a Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you are an integral part of Co-Branded Card team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for developing high-quality code and building solutions that enhance partner experiences and expand our customer value proposition. Your expertise in application design, solutions architecting, development, and testing will be utilized to set strategic technical direction and solve complex problems.
The Associate - Software and Support is responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, and support of software applications. This role involves providing technical support to users, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with the engineering team to ensure smooth operation of software systems.
Job Responsibilities- Assists in the development, testing, and deployment of software applications.
- Provides technical support to end-users, addressing software-related queries and issues.
- Troubleshoots and resolves software problems in a timely manner.
- Documents support issues, resolutions, and user feedback.
- Collaborates with software engineers to identify and fix bugs or performance issues.
- Participates in software upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
- Maintains knowledge base articles and user guides for supported applications.
- Escalates complex issues to senior engineers or relevant teams as needed.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and security standards.
- Contributes to process improvements and support best practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills- Formal training or certification on reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, toil reduction, and other site reliability best practices with 3-5 years applied experience
- Fluency in at least one programming language such as (e.g., Python, Java Spring Boot, .Net, etc.)
- Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes with emerging depth in one or more technical disciplines
- Proficiency and experience in observability such as white and black box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, etc.
- Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform, etc.)
- Experience with container and container orchestration (e.g., ECS, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
- Experience with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues
- Ability to identify and solve problems related to complex data structures and algorithms
- Ability to teach new programming languages to team members
- Ability to expand and collaborate across different levels and stakeholder groups
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills- Experience leading developers in a high impact fast paced environment.
- Proficient in programming languages like Python for model development, experimentation, and integration with Azure OpenAI API.
- Ability to identify and address AI/ML/LLM/GenAI challenges, implement optimizations, and fine-tune models for optimal performance in NLP applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with emphasize on attention to detail.
- Must have AWS Cloud knowledge
