Job Description
This technician will support an existing team, focusing on MAC (Move, Add, Change) activities and new construction projects. While much
of the infrastructure is transitioning to VoIP, this role will primarily support emergency and classified hardline systems that will remain copper-based.
Responsibilities include responding to daily trouble tickets, assisting with disconnects, provisioning new POTS lines, and supporting the MAC
team during downtime. The technician will work extensively with DMARC and communication rooms, identifying copper circuits, client and provider demarcations, and performing testing and troubleshooting using butt sets, tone generators, multimeters, probes, and similar tools.
The role also includes exposure to VoIP installations, emergency service lines, elevator phones, and carrier-provided telephony
systems. Fiber experience is a plus, but the position is primarily copper-focused, with opportunities to train and grow into fiber work.

Contract Details & Location
  • Long-term contract with a strong history of conversion to full-time employment
  • Guaranteed 6 months, with potential extensions based on performance
  • Primarily based at a main campus location, with occasional work at additional regional sites

  • Team-based setting (2-3 technicians)

  • Monday-Friday, day shift
    • Typical hours: 6:00am - 3:00pm
    • Flexibility for maintenance windows is a plus

Pay and Benefits
