Job Title: Jira Implementation Consultant
Location: Hybrid On-Site 3 Days in the Buckhead Area of ATLANTA, GA
Duration: 6 Month Contract (Strong likelihood of Extension or Conversion to Full-Time)
Position Overview
Authority Brands is seeking a Jira Implementation Consultant to lead and support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Atlassian Jira across technology and business teams.
This individual will serve as both a technical Jira expert and a business-facing consultant, helping translate organizational needs into scalable workflows and solutions within Jira.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience configuring Jira environments while also partnering closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design workflows, and ensure successful adoption across teams.
This is a 6-month contract engagement with a strong likelihood of extension or conversion to a permanent role based on project success and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Jira for cross-functional teams.
- Partner with business stakeholders, product leaders, and technology teams to gather requirements and translate them into Jira workflows and configurations.
- Design and implement Jira workflows, boards, dashboards, permissions, and custom fields aligned with business processes.
- Provide consultative guidance on best practices for Agile project management and Jira usage.
- Configure and maintain Jira integrations with other tools where applicable.
- Develop and implement reporting dashboards and metrics to support project visibility and operational insights.
- Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder sessions to understand business needs and improve workflow efficiency.
- Support user training and adoption, including documentation and process guidelines.
- Troubleshoot system issues and optimize configurations to improve system performance and usability.
- Work closely with leadership to ensure Jira supports scalable operational and product development processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with Jira, including configuration and administration.
- Experience leading or supporting Jira implementations or large-scale Jira optimizations.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban methodologies.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical configurations within Jira.
- Experience working directly with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience building custom workflows, dashboards, reporting, and automation within Jira.
- Proven ability to drive user adoption and process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Jira Service Management or Jira Software implementations.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian ecosystem (Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Experience working in consulting or enterprise implementation environments.
- Atlassian certifications (Jira Administrator, Atlassian Certified Professional) are a plus.
