Job Description:
We are looking for highly experienced Senior MuleSoft Engineers for two strategic openings supporting a large-scale Payments API ecosystem in the Banking/Financial Services domain.
We have openings for:
Position #1 :Senior MuleSoft Development Lead
Position #2 :Senior MuleSoft L2 Support Lead (Production Support Experience Required)
The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in MuleSoft architecture, API security, hybrid deployments, Kafka-based event-driven systems, CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, observability tools, and high-availability enterprise integrations.
The role requires a strong hands-on engineer who can collaborate closely with Business, BSA, Infrastructure, and Offshore teams while driving scalable and secure API solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and implement scalable MuleSoft APIs for payment platforms
- Lead API lifecycle management including development, deployment, governance, and optimization
- Optimize MuleSoft vCore utilization and CloudHub worker configurations
- Build secure APIs using OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, and encryption standards
- Develop hybrid deployment strategies across CloudHub and On-Prem environments
- Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka
- Design HA clustering, load balancing, and fault-tolerant API ecosystems
- Drive observability using ELK, AppDynamics, and Grafana
- Collaborate with offshore teams and conduct code reviews
- Lead root cause analysis and production issue resolution (L2 Support role)
- Mentor junior engineers and drive Agile/DevSecOps best practices
- Utilize Gen AI tools to accelerate API development and automation
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in API Development & Integration
- Strong expertise in MuleSoft (CloudHub & On-Prem)
- Experience with Anypoint Runtime Fabric
- Strong MuleSoft API Security experience
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven systems
- Expertise in ELK, AppDynamics, Grafana
- Experience with MongoDB and Azure CosmosDB
- Strong CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Agile experience
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Additional Requirement for L2 Support Lead:
- Strong Production Support experience
- Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis expertise
- Monitoring, alerting, and operational support experience
Preferred:
- Candidates willing to work onsite 4 days/week in Dallas, Columbus, or Phoenix
- Financial Services / Banking API ecosystem experience
- Experience with FDX standards
