Application Support Engineer to provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and scripting expertise for applications primarily hosted in a Linux environment. This role will work closely with internal teams-particularly around data mapping, integrations, and script-based automation-to ensure stability, reliability, and successful delivery of application integrations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide application support and troubleshooting for systems and services hosted on Linux-based environments.
- Support and maintain several integrations built using Python, Shell, or hybrid scripts.
- Take ownership of existing scripts as they are transitioned to this role and develop new scripts from scratch as needed.
- Partner with integration owners on post-development support of newly designed integrations.
- Execute script deployments, validate runtimes, and ensure proper execution across environments.
- Perform root-cause analysis and apply strong diagnostic skills to resolve system or integration issues.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, data, and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
- Write and execute basic SQL queries against Oracle databases to assist in application and integration troubleshooting.
- Support application runtime environments and ensure operational readiness for new or updated integrations.
Required Skills & Experience- Strong background supporting applications in Linux environments (not necessarily admin-level, but capable of navigating, reading system logs, and understanding Linux-based application behavior).
- Hands-on experience with Linux Shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Python scripting for automation, integration handling, or operational support.
- Ability to write new scripts as well as maintain/enhance existing ones.
- Proven experience supporting applications, integrations, or middleware in a production environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in complex application ecosystems.
- Familiarity with Oracle SQL - able to run queries and interpret results (DBA-level expertise not required).
Preferred Skills- Experience with WebLogic application servers.
- Experience with Oracle databases beyond basic SQL (a plus, not required).
- Background supporting integration-heavy applications or services.
- Experience with monitoring, log analysis, and runtime validation in Linux environments.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
