Prominent is looking for a qualified IT Project Manager with a strong background in UX/UI design to partner with our Solutions team in providing tailored solutions to our customers. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring that user experience, interface design, and usability are prioritized alongside technical feasibility and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Strategy: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
UI/UX Advocacy: Act as the primary advocate for user experience throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all products meet established usability standards.
Design & Development Collaboration: Act as a liaison between creative design teams (UX/UI Designers) and engineering teams (Developers), translating user-centered designs into functional requirements.
Prototyping & Wireframing: Produce or oversee the creation of workflow diagrams, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups for desktop and mobile applications.
Usability Testing: Lead user research and usability testing sessions with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
Technical Integration: Coordinate with developers to ensure the technical implementation aligns with the visual design (CSS, HTML, JavaScript).
Asset & Design System Management: Maintain and update design libraries, design patterns, and UI guidelines to ensure consistency across the product portfolio.
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential design or usability bottlenecks early and work with the team to find solutions that do not derail project schedules.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: 3–5+ years of experience as a technical project manager, with a proven track record in software development and UX/UI design.
Project Management Skills: Strong proficiency in managing project plans, resources, budgets, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Design Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Wireframe.cc).
Technical Understanding: Solid understanding of front-end web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex user experience concepts to non-technical stakeholders including external customers.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP or Scrum Master certification.
Experience with Web Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to drive data-informed design changes.
Background in accessibility (ADA/WCAG) standards.

Anticipated salary for this position is within a range from $80k/yr - $125k/yr.
