We are looking for an experienced IBM Tivoli Output Manager (TOM) for z/OS professional to support enterprise mainframe output management, report distribution, archiving, security, and production operations.

The IBM Tivoli Output Manager professional will be responsible for managing, controlling, archiving, distributing, and securing mainframe output, including reports, spool data, and SYSOUT across enterprise z/OS environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage JES spool output (SYSOUT) and ensure proper capture, retention, and archiving.

• Configure and maintain Tivoli Output Manager policies for report distribution.

• Automate output routing to users, printers, datasets, and external systems.

• Ensure timely delivery of business-critical reports.

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Tivoli Output Manager in z/OS environments.

• Customize output definitions, indexing, and retention rules.

• Integrate TOM with JES2/JES3, SDSF, and security tools.

• Monitor output queues, report generation, and job outputs.

• Troubleshoot issues related to spool, report capture, and report distribution.

• Support production batch cycles and high-availability environments.

• Implement access controls for reports and archived outputs.

• Support data retention, compliance, and audit requirements.

• Implement secure report delivery, including encryption and masking.

• Analyze spool usage and optimize output storage.

• Tune the environment for efficient report processing and retrieval.

• Manage archival processes to prevent spool overflow.

• Work with automation tools such as NetView and SA z/OS.

• Support scheduling tools including IWS and ESP.

• Participate in on-call support and disaster recovery (DR) exercises.

• Liaise with IBM support and vendors for issue resolution.

Required Technical Skills

• IBM Tivoli Output Manager (TOM) for z/OS – Required

• Strong experience with JES2/JES3

• SDSF

• JCL

• Strong z/OS fundamentals

• TSO/ISPF

• Mainframe dataset management

• Production support experience in enterprise environments

Experience Required

7–10 years of experience in IBM Tivoli Output Manager administration/support or closely related mainframe output management roles.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should have strong IBM TOM and z/OS production support experience, excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a 24x7 enterprise production environment.
