Senior Project Manager 

Location: Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid)
Job Type: Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with strong experience in EHR/EMR, Health IT, and Health Informatics to lead large-scale technology projects from planning through implementation. The ideal candidate will have experience with EHR implementation in organizations transitioning from paper-based charting systems and exposure to Organizational Change Management (OCM).

Key Responsibilities
Lead projects through the full lifecycle, including planning, design, testing, implementation, and closeout.
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
Track project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
Manage project resources and coordinate activities across business and IT teams.
Work closely with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Prepare project status reports, metrics, and executive-level updates.
Coordinate system testing and implementation activities.
Identify and resolve project issues and proactively manage risks.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality requirements.
Follow established PMO standards, processes, and project management methodologies.


Required Qualifications
7–9+ years of Project Management experience.
PMP certification with 5+ years of experience.
Hands-on experience with EHR/EMR implementation.
Experience transitioning from paper-based charting to an electronic health record system.
Experience in Health IT, Healthcare IT, or Health Informatics.
Experience with OCM is preferred.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Experience managing large-scale projects with 8–12+ month delivery cycles.
