Business Systems Analyst - Data & IntegrationOverviewWe are seeking a
Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join a
Data & Core Data (DCD) team supporting a large-scale digital wealth management platform. This platform enables clients to securely manage their financial accounts and investments across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
The broader team consists of multiple front-end product teams and a dedicated back-end data group. This role sits within the
DCD team, which plays a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and availability across the platform.
About the DCD TeamThe DCD team is foundational to the success of the platform. The application depends on data being delivered in the correct format, structure, and timing-responsibilities owned by this group.
In addition to managing technical debt and defect remediation, the team maintains a significant enhancement backlog and provides ongoing, time-sensitive support to front-end teams. The work is dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative.
Key Responsibilities- Perform end-to-end business and systems analysis with a strong focus on data
- Analyze source data, data flows, and transformations across systems
- Create and maintain data mappings, diagrams, and documentation
- Support enhancement work and ongoing updates to the services and data layers
- Research and analyze issues on behalf of development teams
- Partner closely with developers, QA, and business stakeholders
- Write clear, well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria
- Participate in and support UAT testing efforts
- Review, read, and test APIs (no API development required)
- Provide ongoing production and operational support as needed
- Gradually become a subject matter expert (SME) for data-focused initiatives
Required Skills & Experience- Strong business analysis experience with a data-centric focus
- Deep understanding of data structures, data mapping, and data flows
- Advanced SQL skills for analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience reading, testing, and validating APIs
- Hands-on UAT/testing experience
- Experience working in Agile environments using Jira
- Ability to work directly with databases to investigate issues
- Prior experience in the financial services industry
- Comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment with shifting priorities
Preferred / Nice-to-Have- Exposure to Tableau or similar reporting/visualization tools
- Experience supporting large-scale digital platforms
- Familiarity with service-based or layered data architectures

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $72.00/hr.
