Test Automation Engineer (DevOps/SRE) - Sunset Drive Miami, FL

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build automated post-deployment validation for applications, infrastructure, operating systems, databases, APIs, and cloud services.
• Integrate smoke tests, health checks, service validations, and infrastructure testing into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting, Ansible, Selenium, and API testing frameworks.
• Validate changes across Windows, Linux, AWS, Infrastructure as Code, platform upgrades, patching, and configuration updates.
• Create deployment quality gates, pass/fail criteria, automated reporting, and rollback readiness validation.
• Leverage observability tools, logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerts to verify system health after deployments.
• Troubleshoot failed validations, identify root causes, and partner with engineering teams to improve reliability and automation coverage.
• Document testing standards, runbooks, operational procedures, and deployment validation practices.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, architecture, release management, and application teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, Test Automation, Cloud Operations, or Systems Engineering.
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux administration, troubleshooting, and post-deployment validation.
• Hands-on AWS experience validating infrastructure, connectivity, permissions, service dependencies, and deployment outcomes.
• Expertise with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, pipeline gating, and deployment workflows.
• Experience with Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation), Git, YAML, JSON, and automation frameworks.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Shell, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience building automated validation frameworks including API testing, smoke testing, integration testing, synthetic monitoring, and Selenium-based automation.
• Knowledge of observability concepts including metrics, logs, dashboards, health checks, alerts, and SLOs.
• Experience validating databases, middleware, web services, APIs, and enterprise applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments.
• Background in release management, patch management, incident response, and operational readiness.
• AWS, DevOps, SRE, Cloud, or Automation certifications are a plus.
