Production / Technical Support

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Production / Technical Support with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows across hybrid environments
• Manage job schedules, resolve failures, and optimize performance for ingestion and transformation processes
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automate repetitive tasks, and document operational runbooks Collaborate with release management and offshore teams is key to ensuring platform stability
• Monitor and alert (Cloudera Manager, logs, metrics); SLA/MTTR focus
• Build/release pipeline familiarity (Azure DevOps/Jenkins)

Requirements:

• Strong hands on with HDFS, Spark, Hive/Impala, and Python data processing scripts
• Proficiency in debugging job failures, data ingestion issues, and performance bottlenecks
• Experience with schedulers/orchestrators (e.g., Airflow/Oozie/ADF) and artifact/version control (Git)
• Environment promotion practices
• Incident management: triage, RCA, remediation; willingness for on call rotation
• Shell scripting; automation of operational tasks and health checks
• Clear communication skills; concise status updates and collaboration across teams
• Basic knowledge of Azure/Databricks jobs, clusters, and storage integrations
• Strong analytical thinking and documentation discipline

Desired skills:

• Experience with data quality frameworks and validation rules
• Knowledge of delta lakes, checkpoints, and resilient data patterns on Databricks
• Exposure to security/compliance controls (RBAC, secrets, audit)
• SRE practices (error budgets, runbook automation)

Pay range: $36.35 - $44.35
