Summary

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Deviation Management Specialist - I for an Onsite position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Durham, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role focuses on providing day-to-day technical support to cGMP manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for resolving and reducing process deviations, developing corrective and preventative actions, and leading manufacturing investigations using sound scientific and engineering principles.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to manufacturing operations, including resolution and reduction of process deviations
  • Develop and implement corrective/preventative actions and lead manufacturing investigations
  • Provide scientific support for manufacturing areas within the company's Manufacturing Division
  • Develop working relationships with counterparts in other areas supporting aseptic manufacturing, testing, planning, and release
  • Utilize sound scientific and engineering principles to investigate process deviations
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of manufacturing atypical events
  • Analyze complex problems through critical analytical thinking
  • Off-shift work may be required

Requirements:
  • B.S./M.S. degree in an appropriate engineering/scientific field
  • Minimum of 0-3 years of post-Bachelor's degree experience in a cGMP environment (e.g. Production, Development, Process Engineering, Technical Services) in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Previous experience in writing investigations for atypical events in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with Lean Six Sigma Methodologies and proven analytical/problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a part of a cross-functional team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired skills:
  • Experience from a co-op or internship
  • 1-2 years of real-world experience in a related role
Pay Range: up to $41.78 per hour
