Data Analyst & AI Specialist
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to support the development and implementation of internal data tools, dashboards, and reports, and to assist with building AI workflows. The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing large data sets, creating data visualizations, and providing strategic insights. This role requires an extremely detail-oriented, strategic, and driven person who is familiar with data tools and applications. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with a passion for learning new tools, implementing AI to automate workflows, and ability to work cross-functionally. They will need to have clear and effective communication skills and be able to work well with various teams. They should be curious about learning how user groups operate, but also have a long-tail desire to help an organization optimize the way it works overall.
Responsibilities:
• Develop tools and provide analysis to support data driven decision making
• Collect feedback from users to create automated reporting and compelling data visualization solutions with minimal supervision
• Build and scale maintainable data infrastructures and end to end reporting solutions that connect business and finance teams with critical data
• Monitor and maintain data pipelines and preemptively solve and raise issues
• Identify trends and patterns in financial data that contribute to diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts, along with data reporting & presentation
• Data entry and optimization as needed
• Manage code, scripts, and analytical assets in GitHub using basic version control practices (commits, branches pull requests)
• Design, develop, and maintain AI-enabled workflows and custom AI tools that help team members leverage generative AI for automated data analysis, reporting, and insights generation.
• Build and deploy AI agents to automate routine data tasks, integrate with existing systems, and provide intelligent assistance for financial data analysis.
• Evaluate and onboard AI tools for the team; create reusable prompts and lightweight automations that improve analytical throughput and reduce manual effort
• Document and train team members on AI workflows, ensuring responsible and effective adoption across the organization
Key Qualifications
• 5+ years’ experience in a tools, platforms, or applications implementation role
• 5+ years of experience implementing business processes in software tools
• Ability to identify, diagnose, solve, and escalate system and data pipeline issues as they become identified by users
• 5+ years of experience implementing data pipelines and flows
Proficient programming skills and working experience in SQL (both relational and cloud databases) and Python as well as their standard &commercial analytical packages/tools including pandas, Numpy, Jupyter notebooks, etc.
Experience with Data lake systems such as Snowflake
Experience with ETL/Reverse ETL processes and data cleanup preferred
Experience with Tableau
• Passionate about understanding and solving problems, drawing insights, visualizing and storytelling with financial data
• Experience working with central data and analytics teams, with the ability to quickly learn and understand data flows between business and data systems.
• Expert knowledge of data management and metric building. Knows the tools and when to use them, when not to use them, and when it’s time to build new ones
• Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills to maintain data integrity and extract relevant metrics
• Experience creating documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process
• Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment; able to work autonomously
• Proven record of quickly ramping to understand a complex organization’s end-user types, individual groups'' requirements and how potential new features or changes impact a platform holistically
• Comfortable with ambiguity and adjusting to evolving business requirements and priorities
• Experience testing and implementing workflow management systems or software
• Ability to retain new information and learn workflows quickly
• Ability to analyze data and recommend process improvements
• Ability to work cross-functionally within the organization and partner with others
• Experience handling sensitive and classified information/data with the utmost discretion
• Working Knowledge of Git and GitHub, including basic repository management, branching, and pull requests
• Hands-on experience using generative AI tools and large language models (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent), including prompt writing
• Proven experience in developing and deploying custom AI solutions for data analysis, including automated data refresh and publishing mechanisms.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with GitHub actions, CI/CD workflows, or automation pipelines
• Direct experience with AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) or similar tooling for building and integrating AI agents into business processes.
• Awareness of AI tool security, data handling, and responsible-use considerations when recommending solutions to a team
• Knowledge of Financial Data such as Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, and Invoices preferred
• Experience building or customizing AI assistants, skills, or prompt libraries for shared use
