Overview

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with strong AI expertise to help build and evolve a strategic enterprise Data & AI platform.

This role will play a key part in designing and developing the application and integration layer that connects business users to data, AI capabilities, and enterprise systems. The position combines hands-on engineering, cloud development, and AI solution implementation to deliver secure, scalable services and intuitive user interfaces.

The ideal candidate is a highly technical engineer with deep experience building production systems, modern cloud architectures, and AI-enabled applications. This individual will work closely with product, data engineering, security, and platform teams to deliver solutions that are reliable, compliant, and easy for business users to adopt.

Key Responsibilities

Platform & Service Development

• Design and build scalable microservices, APIs, and workflow services that power enterprise data and AI solutions.

• Develop backend services supporting AI-driven capabilities such as conversational interfaces, workflow automation, document intelligence, and decision support systems.

• Establish service standards including API contracts, versioning, performance SLAs, and error-handling patterns.

• Create reusable service templates and development patterns to accelerate platform adoption.

Full-Stack Development

• Develop modern user interfaces and internal portals using React for business users and administrators.

• Build backend services in Python (FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks) to support REST and GraphQL APIs.

• Integrate front-end applications with backend services to create intuitive, reliable user workflows.

Cloud Engineering (AWS)

• Deploy and manage applications using AWS cloud infrastructure, containerization, and modern cloud-native patterns.

• Design scalable, resilient systems leveraging container services, networking, load balancing, and event-driven architectures.

• Implement secure infrastructure patterns including encryption, secrets management, and least-privilege access controls.

Integrations & APIs

• Develop integrations with internal enterprise platforms and external vendor systems via APIs.

• Implement best practices including retry logic, rate limiting, idempotency, and fault tolerance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design stable integration contracts and scalable solutions.

Security & Access Controls

• Implement secure authentication and authorization frameworks including SSO, OAuth2, OIDC, or SAML.

• Develop role-based and policy-based access control mechanisms to protect enterprise data.

• Work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise-grade security standards.

Data Platform Integration

• Develop services and UI capabilities that interact with enterprise data platforms and modern cloud data warehouses.

• Enable secure data access patterns, metadata management, and governed data consumption.

• Support analytics and telemetry features that provide insights into platform usage and adoption.

CI/CD & Operational Excellence

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing, deployment, and release management.

• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance tracking to ensure platform reliability.

• Contribute to operational readiness including documentation, runbooks, and incident response processes.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience building and supporting production systems.

• Hands-on experience developing AI-enabled applications, including generative AI technologies, LLM frameworks, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

• Strong backend development experience with Python and modern API frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, etc.).

• Strong front-end development experience using React and modern JavaScript frameworks.

• Experience deploying and operating applications in AWS cloud environments.

• Experience building applications with microservices architecture and API-driven integrations.

• Strong understanding of secure development practices, authentication/authorization models, and identity management.

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and production monitoring practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with modern data platforms or cloud data warehouses.

• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks or GenAI services.

• Experience building enterprise-scale internal platforms or developer tooling.

• Background in financial services or regulated environments is a plus.

Education

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
