Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data & AI Engineer with experience in MIS/MMIS systems to drive developer productivity, data-driven insights, and secure AI adoption across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
This role focuses on enhancing MIS/MMIS reporting capabilities, enabling AI-assisted development using GitHub Copilot, and building scalable data and GenAI solutions on Azure. The ideal candidate will combine strong data analytics expertise with software engineering discipline to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and governance.
This position operates in a non-production environment and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) or Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Key Responsibilities
MIS / MMIS Systems & Data Management
· Design, develop, and maintain MIS/MMIS reporting solutions and dashboards
· Analyze system and operational data to generate actionable insights and performance metrics
· Build and optimize SQL queries, data models, and reporting frameworks
· Support data validation, governance, and reporting accuracy across systems
AI Enablement & Developer Productivity
· Lead enterprise adoption of GitHub Copilot (Business/Enterprise) across engineering teams
· Develop and maintain:
o Reusable prompt libraries
o Custom instruction frameworks
o AI-assisted development workflows
· Integrate AI capabilities into day-to-day development workflows (PRs, testing, code reviews)
· Improve engineering efficiency through automation and AI-driven tooling
Security, Governance & Compliance
· Implement secure AI adoption practices aligned with enterprise and healthcare standards
· Enforce code quality and security using:
o Code scanning (CodeQL or equivalent)
o Dependency and vulnerability checks
o Secret scanning and protection
· Ensure auditability, traceability, and compliance across AI-assisted workflows
Software Engineering & Platform Development
- Contribute to .NET-based applications (C#, ASP.NET Core, EF Core)
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools
- Build automation utilities and reusable components to improve engineering processes
- Create and maintain reference architectures and best practices
GenAI & Data Engineering (Supporting)
· Develop AI-powered solutions using Azure OpenAI and related services
· Build capabilities such as:
o PR summarization
o Intelligent debugging support
o Developer productivity dashboards
· Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines where required
· Design data pipelines and visualization dashboards (Power BI / SQL)
Required Qualifications
· 5–7 years of experience in:
o Data Engineering / Software Engineering / MIS Systems
· Strong experience with:
o MIS / MMIS systems (Healthcare domain preferred)
o Data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development
· Hands-on expertise in:
o SQL and data modeling
o .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET Core)
o GitHub (version control, pull requests, CI/CD)
· Experience with:
o GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools
o DevSecOps practices and secure coding standards
· Familiarity with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Key Vault, RBAC)
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working with healthcare systems, especially MMIS
· Hands-on experience with:
o Azure OpenAI / Generative AI solutions
o Power BI or similar reporting tools
· Knowledge of:
o GitHub Advanced Security (CodeQL, secret scanning, dependency review)
o Prompt engineering and AI workflow design
o RAG architectures and enterprise search solutions
