Position Overview
We are seeking a QA Engineer to work closely with project leads, developers, and business users to plan, design, execute, and validate system testing activities prior to production release. The role focuses on manual and automated testing to ensure high-quality, reliable software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute test scenarios and test cases
- Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, and Performance testing
- Participate in requirements and design reviews
- Develop test strategies, procedures, and validation plans
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects with development teams
- Review requirements and specifications for test coverage and quality
- Follow established QA standards and testing processes
- Use TFS or Azure DevOps for test execution, reporting, and defect tracking
- Prepare sprint test reports, defect summaries, and status updates
- Assess impact of requirement or design changes on testing scope
- Manage multiple testing tasks and deliverables simultaneously
Required Skills
- Strong experience in functional, regression, performance, and automated testing
- Hands-on SIT, End-to-End, and UAT testing experience
- Web application testing expertise
- Ability to convert requirements into sprint-level test tasks
- Experience using Microsoft TFS or Azure DevOps for test and defect management
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks
Required Experience
- Minimum 4 years of software application testing experience
Preferred Domain Experience
- State Government or Healthcare domain
- Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, or DHR business process testing
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Equivalent work experience may be considered
