Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM Mainframe Developer with strong DB2 expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing DB2-based solutions while ensuring high performance and scalability of mainframe applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain IBM DB2 Stored Procedures (SQL PL & external stored procedures)
Perform complex SQL tuning, query optimization, and performance analysis
Convert application logic from COBOL/SQL into DB2 Stored Procedures where applicable
Ensure high performance, scalability, and stability of DB2 database objects
Identify and resolve DB2 performance bottlenecks and issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for application enhancements and support
Required Skills
Strong experience in IBM Mainframe Development
Hands-on expertise in DB2 for z/OS
Proficiency in COBOL and JCL
Deep understanding of SQL tuning and performance optimization
Experience in DB2 Stored Procedures (SQL PL)
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of distributed DB2 connectivity
Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments
Familiarity with banking/financial domain (plus)
