Position OverviewThe Senior Data Analyst will support the full software development and implementation lifecycle within the Program Integrity (PI) team. This role focuses on building and managing cloud-based data engineering solutions that power fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) detection capabilities. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Support the full software development and implementation lifecycle.
- Lead the design, development, and management of ETL processes for Program Integrity data marts in Snowflake and SQL Server.
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), supporting ETL operations and Peer Group Profiling outputs.
- Implement and manage DevOps practices to improve data loading, efficiency, and workload balancing within the PI data mart.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and consistent data flow.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
- Independently identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communicate effectively across teams to support project execution and alignment.
- Apply strong analytical skills and attention to detail to maintain data accuracy and quality.
- Lead cloud-based project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and performance expectations.
- Ensure compliance with data security and industry standards.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud-based data engineering and data warehousing, with a focus on scalable data solutions.
- 5+ years of experience with Snowflake, including design, development, and automated data ingestion using Snowflake SQL and Python.
- 5+ years of experience with Azure data tools: Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL Server, Blob Storage.
- 2+ years of experience with Python or other scripting languages.
Preferred Qualifications- Azure or Snowflake certifications.
- Experience with data modeling and database design.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud platforms.
- Recent experience with medical claims processing systems and healthcare data structures.
- Experience in data science or advanced analytics.
Project SummaryThe Program Integrity team is seeking a data-focused engineer/analyst to develop a strong understanding of FWA detection software and methodologies. This role will work closely with business analysts, data engineers, software engineers, and report developers across multiple phases of implementations and operational projects. The analyst will become familiar with database structures, testing workflows, and documentation practices, playing a key role in launching new projects and supporting existing initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile- Experience working with healthcare data and understanding the lifecycle of a medical claim.
- Strong SQL and data mapping skills.
- Comfortable working in cloud environments and open to incorporating AI-driven tools.
