Job Summary: Talent Senior ServiceNow Developer is in search of a Software Design Engineer for a contract position in Redmond, WA​​. The opportunity will be two months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: The main function of a Software Engineer is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialised utility programs, including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancements of existing systems.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects.
• Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs.
• Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications.
• Implement system software and customize client requirements.
• Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans.
• Code new programs to client specifications and create test data for testing.
• Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.
• Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.
• Provide quality assurance reviews.
• Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing.
• The role will focus on Audio HLK certification testing, which includes diagnosing failures reported by external partners and escalation engineers.
• Creating test errata to overturn partner failures.
• Making test content fixes and improvements.
• Executing certification test passes.
• Ensuring audio drivers successfully pass certification.
• Purpose of the Team: The team is responsible for managing Windows audio system certification tests for industry partners to ensure compatibility and improve test content and debugging tools.
• Key Projects: This role involves contributing to the ongoing release of the Windows 11 operating system and certification efforts for audio hardware and device drivers.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor''s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required.
• 5-7 years of experience required.
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Large systems software design and development experience.
• Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
• Experience in programming and problem diagnosis and resolution.
• 3 years of C programming experience.
• The ideal candidate will have advanced debugging experience on Windows and direct experience with audio or media technologies, in addition to core hard skills.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with C programming.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Windows device driver development.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with advanced debugging on Windows.
• The candidate should have background experience working with Windows device drivers, audio/media technologies, and system-level C programming experience.
