Summary

Key Responsibilities

Configuration & Customization: Modify Guidewire apps (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) to meet business needs using Gosu and Guidewire Studio.
Integration Development: Design and build integrations with internal/external systems using APIs (REST/SOAP), messaging frameworks, and batch processes.
System Upgrades & Maintenance: Assist in upgrading Guidewire versions and maintaining system performance.
Testing & Debugging: Perform unit testing (GUnit/JUnit) and support QA through testing plans and defect resolution.
Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies (scrum calls, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, including design specs and deployment guides.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Gosu and Java.
Guidewire Knowledge: Experience with PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter.
Integration Technologies: Experience with Web Services (REST/SOAP), XML, and JMS/Messaging.
Database: Experience with RDBMS, SQL, and data modeling.
Experience Level: Requires 5–10 years of software development experience, specifically in Guidewire.
Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance processes.

Preferred Certifications

Guidewire Certified Associate (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter).
Guidewire Certified Specialist (Integrations).

Typical Tools

Guidewire Studio (IntelliJ-based).
Version Control (e.g., Git).
Build tools (e.g., Gradle/Maven)
