Anaplan Engineer

Remote Contract Role

• Work closely to partner and build relationships with leadership across F&S, finance, engineering, and TAFR, as well as vendors and external partners
• Operate cross-functionally with some ambiguity, and provide expertise to FP&A team on best practices for modeling and reporting
• Review, analyze & evaluate current business systems and user needs in order to develop, enhance, implement and maintain fully functional, integrated and operational business systems within Anaplan and following IT standards
• Work closely with finance & strategy partners to develop, establish and manage the project roadmap for the organization
• Work closely with business users to determine business requirements, lead requirements gathering meetings, propose future enhancements, resolve queries around existing design or any issues.
• Draft business requirements document ("BRD ), test scripts , test cases for user acceptance testing ("UAT ), perform UAT testing in certain scenarios, and training materials for various transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT team and other cross functional systems teams during design and support implementation of business solutions.
• Provide regular status updates, highlighting risk and issues to PMO.
• Work with Finance & Strategy(F&S) stakeholders and other cross-functional business partners ( engineering, product, Tax, accounting to name some) to support project assessments and new initiatives.
• Cross functional team leadership, collaboration and mentoring to achieve common goals
• Understand current business processes and propose areas of improvements and automation. Manage the priorities and activities for a small team of engineers.
• Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and work on other tasks for the benefit of the team
• Partner with F&S to identify process improvements and coordinate with teams to identify MVP product for each phases
• Establish operating model/ownership of Anaplan activities to maintain the application and product engagement

• Participate in SOX discussions to make Anaplan a compliant financial reporting tool

Some Things We Consider Critical For This Role

• 5 year or more experience of successfully implementing Anaplan solutions as Model Builder on 5 or more Anaplan implementation projects
• Anaplan Certified Master Anaplanner is a plus
• Advanced Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling skills
• Strong communication skills and presentation skills
• Finance, MIS background or any other relevant fields of study
