Business Analyst

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level Business Analyst to join our technology and operations team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in communication, can confidently interact with clients and business stakeholders, and has the ability to engage in technical discussions with developers. The Business Analyst will support multiple enterprise applications, contribute to ongoing technology initiatives, and play a key role in system enhancement and modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams.
Facilitate clear, professional communication to ensure mutual understanding of requirements, timelines, and system impacts.
Conduct meetings, gather input, and translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
Lead detailed requirement elicitation sessions with stakeholders across Investor Services and Fund Treasury.
Document business and functional requirements, use cases, workflow diagrams, and acceptance criteria.
Validate requirements with business partners and development teams to ensure alignment.
Application Support
Provide ongoing support for multiple enterprise applications.
Troubleshoot issues, perform impact assessments, and coordinate resolution with technical teams.
Support and help manage the transition of the Momentum File Transfer System to a new Managed File Transfer solution (Control-M).
Project & Technology Collaboration
Partner with developers to clarify requirements, answer technical questions, and ensure accurate implementation.
Participate in Agile ceremonies when applicable: sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Assist with testing, including test case creation, validation, and coordinating UAT with business users.
Preferred Technical Knowledge
Managed File Transfer Tools: Knowledge of file transfer workflows; exposure to Control-M or momentum file transfer systems.
Citizen Development / Power Platform: Power Apps or related low-code solutions.
Azure DevOps: Requirements management, user stories, pipelines, or boards.
Boomi: Integration and data flow awareness.
BMC: Scheduling or operational tools.
Databricks: Understanding of analytics workflows or data pipelines.
SQL: Ability to perform basic queries for analysis or validation.
Qualifications
Required
3-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst (or equivalent role).
Exceptional communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to interact professionally with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Experience supporting production applications and working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred
Background supporting financial services functions (Investor Services, Fund Treasury, or related areas).
Experience with technology modernization or system migration projects.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warrendale, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
