Job Title: Lead Data Engineer with Google Cloud Platform
Location: Detroit, MI (3Days Onsite/Week)
Duration: Contract role
Job Summary:
This Lead Data Engineer will provide technical leadership in designing and implementing a cloud-based data platform on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), consolidating fragmented data sources and enabling a scalable analytics ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- 7 years of experience in data engineering or platform development
- Experience leading enterprise data engineering initiatives
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud platforms.
- Serve as technical lead for data engineering, owning architecture and delivery
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and models on Google Cloud Platform
- Lead migration from Alteryx to Google Cloud Platform-based ETL and reporting
- Define data engineering standards and best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into solutions
- Lead and mentor distributed data engineering teams
- Ensure data quality and integrity across systems
- Heavily leverage Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform’s native data services
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
- Identify risks and lead mitigation strategies
