Role Name: IT Project manager 

Work site: Grand Prairie, Texas (Onsite) 

 

Overview: We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager / Program Manager to lead this critical transformation initiative, ensuring end-to-end delivery across IT, data, and business process domains.

 

This role requires a strong combination of: 

• IT system integration expertise

• Project/program delivery leadership

• Stakeholder management in complex industrial environments

 

Mission / Objectives

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new certification and scheduling solution

• Ensure migration from a decentralized Smartsheet environment to a secure, integrated digital platform

• Drive harmonization of engineering processes across multiple sites (US & Canada)

• Guarantee compliance with cybersecurity, data governance.

 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Program & Project Leadership

• Manage the full lifecycle of the program:

o Initiation → Design → Build → Test → Deployment → Hypercare

• Define and maintain roadmap, milestones, budget, and governance

• Lead multi-stream delivery (functional, technical, data, security, integration)

2. Business & IT Alignment

• Translate business requirements (BRD) into actionable delivery plans

• Ensure consistency between:

o Engineering processes (STC, ECR, certification workflows)

o IT solutions (PLM, SAP, data platforms)

• Support definition of target architecture and “To-Be” processes

3. Solution Implementation & Integration

• Oversee integration with key systems:

o SAP

o Google ecosystem

o Potential PLM / engineering tools

• Ensure end-to-end data flow, consistency, and traceability

• Supervise data migration from legacy systems

4. Data & Governance

• Establish data governance framework (ownership, quality, lifecycle)

• Ensure compliance with:

o Cybersecurity standards (authentication, access control, etc.)

o Data privacy and export control requirements

• Monitor data integrity and reporting capabilities

5. Stakeholder & Change Management

• Engage with senior stakeholders:

o Engineering leadership

o Digital / IT sponsors

o Process experts

• Drive:

o Workshops

o Steering committees

o Executive reporting

• Lead change management and user adoption strategy

6. Risk, Compliance & Security

• Identify and mitigate key risks:

o Cybersecurity vulnerabilities

o Operational disruptions due to system failure

• Ensure solution meets enterprise security and compliance standards

7. Testing, Deployment & Support

• Manage:

o UAT strategy and execution

o Deployment approach (phased vs. big bang)

• Ensure:

o Knowledge transfer

o Training plans

o Transition to support teams

Required Skills & Experience

   

Technical & IT Skills 

• Strong experience in:

o Enterprise system implementation (ERP, PLM, or scheduling tools)

o System integration & data flows

o Data-driven solutions / dashboards

• Knowledge of:

o SAP integration

o Data architecture & governance

o Cloud / enterprise platforms

   

Project & Program Management 

• 2–5+ years in IT project/program management

• Proven experience delivering complex transformation programs

• Strong command of:

o Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid methodologies

o Risk & dependency management

o Financial tracking

   

Industry / Domain Expertise (Strong Plus) 

• Aerospace / Manufacturing / Engineering environments

• Certification processes (STC, ECR, etc.)

• Scheduling / production planning systems

 

Soft Skills: 

• Excellent stakeholder management (including C-level)

• Strong communication & structuring skills

• Ability to operate in ambiguous and fast-paced environments

• Leadership & team coordination across geographies

 

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Smartsheet or similar tools transformation

• Exposure to AI-driven analytics / reporting

• Knowledge of Workday / workforce planning tools

• Experience in cybersecurity-driven transformation programs

• Delivery on time, budget, and scope
