Job Details
  • 7+ years of Superintendent or field leadership experience within heavy civil construction.
  • Proven experience supervising roadway, highway, bridge, underground utility, grading, earthwork, paving, or transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, equipment, and productivity.
  • Experience managing field operations from project startup through final completion.
  • Ability to coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and self-perform crews.
  • Experience working on DOT, municipal, county, or other public infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and a demonstrated commitment to maintaining safe, compliant job sites.
  • Experience leading daily planning meetings, safety meetings, and coordinating work between multiple trades.
  • Ability to identify field issues, troubleshoot construction challenges, and implement effective solutions while minimizing schedule impacts.
  • Proven ability to maintain project schedules while ensuring quality workmanship and cost-effective execution.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with owners, inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
  • Experience documenting daily reports, production quantities, inspections, and project progress.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling software, project management platforms, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
