Software Engineer (Java, Payments, AWS)

Introduction

As a Software Engineer with expertise in Java, Payments, and AWS, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing cloud-native eCommerce and payment microservices for in-flight connectivity and shopping platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across backend services, frontend components, and AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud-native eCommerce and payment microservices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the applications
• Implement security best practices, particularly for payment systems
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience with Java (Spring Boot) and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience in REST API design using OpenAPI / Swagger
• Experience with AWS services (RDS / Aurora, deployments using CDK, CI/CD via GitLab)
• Working knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• Solid understanding of security best practices, particularly for payment systems

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in payments / fintech domains (payment gateways, wallets, transaction flows)
• Exposure to observability and analytics tools (Grafana, QuickSight, Tableau)
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization
