OverviewBlueWater Federal is looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Full-Stack Developer to support the DOE EHSS Application, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity Support (AICS) program
AICS enables secure, reliable, and data-driven operations across the DOE enterprise through application modernization, DevSecOps, Zero Trust implementation, continuous monitoring, and infrastructure sustainment supporting EHSS's environment, health, safety, security, and classification missions.
This is a hybrid role with potential support of multiple DOE sites in the DC metro area.
Responsibilities- Design and implement enterprise-scale dynamic full-stack applications from approved requirements and specifications.
- Develop complex code, frameworks, web services, and APIs supporting transaction processing, reporting, integration, and data exchange.
- Develop Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server solutions using Java, .NET, and related technologies; resolve database, architecture, performance, and coding issues.
- Integrate authentication, role-based access, data security, Section 508, Zero Trust, and cybersecurity controls.
- Create data models, database designs, queries, and ETL supporting BI, analytics, ML, and AI use cases.
- Develop tests, automate testing, remediate defects and scan findings, support UAT, CI/CD, releases, O&M, documentation, and training.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. 6 years of experience can be substituted for the Bachelor's degree (included as part of the experience requirement, not additional).
- Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience as a full-stack developer of enterprise-scale dynamic web applications.
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Q clearance.
- Experience with complex coding, frameworks, APIs, web services, online processing/reporting, accessibility, and authentication.
- Experience resolving database, architecture, and application-programming issues.
- Experience with automated testing, version control, change/release/configuration management, QA, cloud computing, Oracle, MS SQL, Java and/or .NET.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Solutions Architect - Professional preferred; OCP Database Administrator or CIW Web Development Professional desired.
