The client is seeking a hands-on Lead Platform Engineer to design, operate, and evolve a secure, highly available AWS-based Kubernetes platform that supports multiple development teams in a regulated environment.

This role requires deep experience running production Kubernetes, implementing GitOps and CI/CD automation, and building infrastructure as code. The engineer will partner closely with security and compliance teams to enforce least-privilege access, network security, secrets management, and auditability while enabling developer self-service.

The ideal candidate is a technical leader who can own platform architecture, mentor engineers, and troubleshoot complex deployment and infrastructure issues, balancing speed, reliability, and security.

• Operating and securing Kubernetes (EKS) in production
• AWS infrastructure and networking (IAM, VPC, core AWS services)
• GitOps, CI/CD, and developer workflow automation
• Security-first platform design in compliance-heavy environments
• Technical leadership and cross-team collaboration
