Job Title: Senior Tanium Engineer / Platform SME

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 3+ Months

Role Summary

The Senior Tanium Engineer serves as a technical lead responsible for architecture, optimization, and enterprise-scale implementation of the Tanium platform. This role drives performance, scalability, and strategic use of Tanium across security and IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Tanium platform implementations and expansions
Architect multi-module deployments (Comply, Threat Response, Asset, Patch, Deploy)
Design and optimize sensors, packages, and question performance at scale
Tune platform performance (query efficiency, load distribution, latency reduction)
Establish endpoint management and security use cases leveraging Tanium
Integrate Tanium with SIEM, vulnerability management, and ITSM platforms
Provide guidance on best practices, governance, and operating models
Lead troubleshooting of complex platform and endpoint issues
Mentor junior engineers and oversee delivery quality

Required Experience

5+ years of deep Tanium experience
Proven experience in large-scale environments (10k 100k+ endpoints)
Strong expertise in Tanium Interact, Comply, and Threat Response
Advanced scripting (PowerShell, Python) and sensor/package development
Experience with endpoint security, vulnerability management, and incident response
Familiarity with enterprise architecture and security frameworks
