Job Title: Zscaler Network Security Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Zscaler Network Security Engineer to design, deploy, manage, and optimize cloud-based security solutions leveraging the Zscaler platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network security, secure web gateway technologies, Zero Trust architecture, and enterprise networking. This role will be responsible for implementing and supporting Zscaler services while ensuring secure access for users, applications, and data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Zscaler security solutions including:
- Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA)
- Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
- Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX)
- Cloud Firewall
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Configure and manage security policies, URL filtering, SSL inspection, application controls, and threat protection.
- Integrate Zscaler solutions with identity providers such as Azure AD, Okta, and Active Directory.
- Support Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) initiatives and secure remote access architectures.
- Troubleshoot complex network and security issues involving cloud and hybrid environments.
- Collaborate with network, infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to implement security best practices.
- Perform health checks, upgrades, policy reviews, and platform optimizations.
- Monitor security events and investigate incidents using SIEM platforms.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
- Participate in security audits, compliance initiatives, and risk assessments.
- Provide Tier 3 support and mentorship to junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Network Security Engineering.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Zscaler technologies (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX).
- Strong understanding of:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- HTTP/HTTPS
- VPN
- Routing and Switching
- Firewall Technologies
- Proxy Architectures
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Expertise in Zero Trust Security principles and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture.
- Experience integrating Zscaler with identity and access management solutions.
- Familiarity with SIEM solutions such as Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar, or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
