ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Associate Scientist for a Hybrid position with a 12+ month contract located in Holly Springs, NC. Summary: This is a hands-on, lab-based role focused on conducting experiments using techniques like liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis. The successful candidate will be flexible, detail-oriented, and contribute to various lab tasks from buffer preparation to data analysis within a leading biopharmaceutical company. Candidates are required to be onsite a majority of the time, with approximately 2 days per month available for remote work for data processing and report writing.
Responsibilities: - Perform experiments, organize data, and analyze results under minimal supervision
- Plan, conduct, and monitor experiments, recording and organizing data for interpretation
- Perform buffer preparation, including daily balance and pH meter verifications
- Execute liquid chromatography (LC) and capillary electrophoresis methods
- Conduct Plate-Based Impurities Testing
- Document results in an electronic lab notebook and perform data verification
- Manage in-house samples
- Effectively troubleshoot equipment and experimental difficulties
- Transfer experimental methods from literature to the lab and make modifications as necessary
- Develop and implement new protocols
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a biopharmaceutical lab environment
- Hands-on experience with different LC methods (e.g., size exclusion, anion exchange, affinity chromatography) and capillary electrophoresis
- Experience with Empower software
- Experience with plate-based impurities testing
- Strong documentation skills with a focus on compliance
Desired skills: - Flexibility and strong multitasking abilities
- Experience with in-house sample management
Pay range: up to $30.22 per hour
