Summary

Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Position Type: Contract

Interview Mode: MS Teams

Note: Program will only accept LOCAL ONLY candidates for this position.

Position Summary:

8 or more years of experience.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Independently performs a variety of complicated tasks.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Minimum 5 years of experience serving as a liaison between the Business community and Customer IT Teams (e.g., Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain).
Strong experience as a Data Analyst in analyzing raw data.
Strong experience as a Business Analyst in requirements gathering and understanding technology.
Project management experience with PMP is a huge plus.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
Experienced with business process reengineering.
Identifies new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective.
Familiar with industry standard business process mapping and reengineering.
Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build.
Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
Works in a SAFe environment on a major system modernization project and ongoing enhancement efforts for existing Medicaid applications.
Provides project and product oversight for Medicaid IT-Contracted Systems efforts and integrated projects.
Supports documentation and delivery of application enhancements for the Medicaid IT-Contracted systems applications team.
Assists as an IT stakeholder for application enhancement initiatives with multiple Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) vendors.
Assists in creating processes and documentation to ensure a consistent understanding and alignment with the agency direction for an integrated solution.

II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

8	Required	Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems.
3	Preferred	Working in an Agile environment (preferably SAFe)
3	Preferred	Experience and knowledge of Texas HHSC processes as well as Texas Medicaid and CHIP systems.
