IDR is seeking a Epic Operational Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role plays a critical part in the installation, maintenance, and support of Epic operational databases within a healthcare environment. You will collaborate with technical teams and support reliable database operations, ongoing updates, and performance-focused troubleshooting while following established Epic and organizational best practices.
Position Overview for the Epic Operational Database Administrator:- Install, maintain, and support Epic operational databases on Linux and InterSystems IRIS servers
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply updates and security patches
- Manage backups and restores, maintain ODB environments, and create database objects as needed
- Support change control, document work clearly, and participate in projects and upgrades
- Test failover procedures and assist with capacity planning while following Epic best practices
Requirements for the Epic Operational Database Administrator:- Current Epic ODBA certification
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Health Care environment
- UNIX/Linux Administration and database management and administration
- Intersystem IRIS platform management and administration
- System Performance Analytics, scripting/programming, and system patching and security remediation
