Summary

This role is for a Senior Oracle OCI Database Administrator/Engineer who will work onsite 5 days a week and provide after-hours, weekend, and on-call production support. The candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, Oracle Databases (19c and above), Oracle APEX, ORDS, WebLogic, and related middleware technologies. Key duties include database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery using RMAN, Data Guard management, PDB cloning, patching, database upgrades (including 19c to 26ai), migrations, and disaster recovery planning. The role also involves automating tasks with shell scripting, Ansible, and GitLab, monitoring environments through Oracle Enterprise Manager, and supporting high-availability cloud solutions. Candidates should have extensive Oracle DBA experience, strong Linux/Unix administration skills, and the ability to troubleshoot critical production issues. Experience with OCI, cloud platforms, WebLogic, APEX, database security, CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and Oracle certifications are considered strong advantages.
