Join Us as a Lead Software Engineer!

The Atlas Team operates at the intersection of Vehicle Design and Software Engineering. We're seeking a candidate to build out our application ecosystem!

Responsibilities

  • An engineering and sales platform for configuring, reviewing, and optimizing the way we build trucks
  • A next-generation product to search, view, and update detailed engineering data
  • An LLM chatbot with the context of International's internal resources and integrating it into our tools and processes
  • Dive into our engineering organization's pain points and develop products to fit their needs
  • Own the full lifecycle of projects from research and design to development, deployment, and iteration
  • Write high quality, maintainable, and testable code using object-oriented design and SOLID principles
  • Mentor other engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing
  • Design and maintain Azure infrastructure as code using Terraform

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of software engineer experience

OR
  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of software engineer experience

OR
  • At least 5 years of software engineer experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • 5 years of professional coding experience developing enterprise-sized applications
  • Clear, confident communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborative team player who takes code quality seriously, actively seeks constructive feedback during PR reviews, and embraces code review as an opportunity
  • Eagerness to learn and grow as a developer and a penchant for tackling the unknown
  • Expert in a frontend technology such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Strong knowledge of design principles and responsive user experiences
  • Strong in a server-side language such as TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, or Ruby
  • Proficient with a major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Fluent in database design and data engineering
  • Nice-to-have's
    • TypeScript, React, NextJS, Tailwind, NestJS, SQLServer, Apache Lucene, Jest
