Position Overview

The Oracle APEX Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications built on Oracle APEX and Oracle Database. The role includes converting an existing PL/SQL Web Toolkit application to Oracle APEX 22.1, developing new features, and supporting existing systems while ensuring compliance with security standards including HIPAA.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new interfaces and modify existing interfaces based on business requirements.
Convert existing PL/SQL Web Toolkit applications into Oracle APEX 22.1.
Review current PL/SQL Web Toolkit code and design equivalent APEX application pages.
Validate functionality of converted pages and ensure application integrity.
Develop applications using modern web technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
Implement secure coding practices to comply with HIPAA security requirements.
Perform bug fixes and enhancements in existing PL/SQL Web Toolkit applications.
Conduct feasibility studies and analyze new system requirements.
Prepare functional and system specifications for development.
Develop data models and system design documentation.
Develop complex program code and perform testing to ensure application quality.
Prepare technical documentation and support production systems.

Required Skills

5+ years of strong SQL and PL/SQL development experience.
5+ years experience working with Oracle 18c / Oracle 19c databases.
3+ years experience with Oracle APEX development.
3+ years experience with JavaScript or jQuery.
3+ years experience with HTML development.
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to assess impact of software upgrades and environment changes.

Desired Skills

2+ years experience with Oracle PL/SQL Web Toolkit.
