What you'll do...
Role summary:

The Senior Software Engineer will lead the development and delivery of scalable software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement features, APIs, and AI/ML integrations. This role requires expertise in full software lifecycle management, including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance, while ensuring alignment with platform and business objectives. The position emphasizes technical leadership, solution design, and continuous improvement through mentorship and innovation. The engineer will drive quality, performance, and reliability, applying sound technical judgment and fostering effective communication to meet complex business and user needs.

Our team partners closely with US stores and eCommerce to enhance customer experiences through technological innovation. We support a wide product range, including groceries, entertainment, and sporting goods, accessible via samsclub.com, mobile apps, and in-store. Key focus areas include improving customer service, merchant tools, data science, and personalized search. The team drives solutions that empower stores, merchants, and associates by delivering scalable, reliable software aligned with business goals. Collaboration, continuous improvement, and a product-driven approach are central to our work, ensuring impactful technology supports both customers and internal teams effectively.
What you'll do:
  • Design and build applications for the iOS platform
  • Proficient with Swift and Cocoa Touch
  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
  • Guide software engineers as part of a full-stack team to deliver iOS mobile features using iOS, Node.js, GQL, etc.
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
  • Develop, test, and maintain clean, efficient code across multiple programming languages and frameworks.
  • Integrate AI/ML components and leverage GenAI tools to enhance software capabilities and development efficiency.
  • Monitor application performance, manage CI/CD pipelines, and support ongoing maintenance and debugging efforts.
  • Mentor peers, promote engineering excellence, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:
  • 4+ years of experience designing and developing software for iOS platform as well as larger frontend stack using Swift, SwiftUI.
  • Experience developing and testing Server-side APIs for mobile and web clients using Node.js etc. GQL experience is a plus.
  • Experience in mobile architectures including Model View Controller (MVC), Model View View-Model (MVVM).
  • Advanced knowledge of complex software design, distributed system design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with monitoring mobile app performance, stability, success rate and leveraging data to improve the same.
  • Improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
