About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) controller and host-stack firmware and SDKs for low-power wireless ICs. These chips are used in consumer, automotive, and medical applications. The team is also adding OpenThread and Matter functionality, so experience there is a strong plus.

Location: Austin, TX
Experience: 4-10 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain BLE controller and host-stack firmware for low-power wireless ICs
  • Build and support SDKs for wireless chips
  • Write embedded C/C++ for bare-metal and RTOS environments, including device drivers
  • Test and debug firmware, including protocol-level issues
  • Contribute to new OpenThread and Matter capabilities as the product line grows

Required Skills

  • 4-10 years of embedded C/C++ development
  • Bare-metal and RTOS experience, including drivers and testing
  • 3+ years of hands-on BLE controller or host-stack experience

Preferred Skills

  • OpenThread (Thread over 802.15.4) experience
  • Matter (smart-home interoperability standard) experience
  • Background in consumer, automotive, or medical wireless products
