Genesis10 is currently seeking a Post-Trade Support Consultant for a hybrid position (4 days per week in office) with a Global Asset Management Firm located in New York, NY. This is an 8+ month contract opportunity. Summary: This role is responsible for handling the day-to-day post-trade operational support of the client's platform, allowing internal teams to focus on modernization efforts. This is a support position focused on triage and troubleshooting. While no coding changes are involved, high proficiency in SQL is required to navigate a legacy environment with limited code visibility.
Responsibilities: - Manage a high-volume queue of inquiries and requests from operations, traders, and compliance teams via email and internal systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues within legacy infrastructure, navigating ambiguity and performing deep-dive investigations
- Use SQL to query legacy databases and identify the root cause of trade discrepancies or system errors
- Communicate effectively with senior business users, ensuring that technical issues are addressed and explained clearly in a business context
Requirements: - Strong understanding of post-trade workflows, specifically booking, settlement, and allocation
- Familiarity with bonds, loans, equities, and allocation-based workflows
- Understanding of broker accounts, clearing brokers, and executing brokers
- Advanced SQL skills are mandatory
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a support-oriented role within a high-volume financial services environment
- Focus on post-trade activities only (booking, settlement, allocation)
- Must be comfortable working in a legacy system environment where information may be limited
Pay range: $70.00 - $80.00 per Hour
