Summary
- Design, implement, and administer Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across endpoints, cloud applications, and messaging platforms.
- Configure and manage Microsoft Purview capabilities, including:
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Information Protection
- Sensitivity Labels
- Retention Policies
- Insider Risk Management
- eDiscovery
- Develop and maintain enterprise data classification, labeling, and retention strategies.
- Monitor, investigate, and remediate DLP alerts, incidents, and policy violations.
- Integrate and optimize DLP controls across Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
- Conduct data discovery, data mapping, and risk assessments to identify and protect sensitive information.
- Support compliance and regulatory initiatives aligned with industry standards and organizational requirements.
- Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting to measure data protection effectiveness and compliance posture.
- Partner with security and infrastructure teams to align DLP controls with Zero Trust security principles.
- Conduct end-user awareness and training related to data protection, information governance, and security best practices.
- Perform ongoing policy tuning and optimization to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy.
- Support audit readiness activities, compliance assessments, and remediation efforts.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, standards, and governance processes.
- Proven experience implementing and managing enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) programs.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and the Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance ecosystem.
- Strong knowledge of data classification, labeling, records management, and retention policies.
- Experience with DLP incident investigation, remediation, and policy enforcement.
- Understanding of cloud security, SaaS platforms, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and related governance standards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, compliance, legal, and business teams.
- Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate (SC-400)
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- Additional Microsoft Security, Compliance, Governance, or Cloud certifications preferred
