The Testing for Agentic AI team is responsible for developing and implementing AI-driven software test solutions that enhance and scale AI adoption in testing across the enterprise. This role will develop Generative and Agent-based AI solutions and leverage AI Large Language Models (LLM) to process massive test-related data sets to drive human-in-the-loop or autonomous software testing. This role is also responsible for hands-on manual and automated software testing across a variety of enterprise applications and platforms. This role is responsible for developing knowledge share content that will be consumed by audiences of diverse skills. The Sr. Test Engineer will be responsible for sharing knowledge to upskill the Enterprise Testing team and a large Software Testing Community of Practice (CoP).

Responsibilities
  • Create complex Test Plan documents utilizing Navy Federal Test Standards and templates
  • Perform complex analysis and interpret results, present recommendations, potential alternatives, risks, and downstream impacts
  • Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication including progress reports, test case or plan documentation, root-cause defect reporting, risks, blockers, etc., to facilitate accurate understanding of testing activities
  • Coordinate and perform testing of complex systems during the System Integration Testing phase
  • Participate in complex System Development Life Cycles activities utilizing SAFe Agile best practices and methodologies
  • Participate in sizing and estimation for complex projects and changes
  • Serve as subject matter expert and mentor to peers
  • Create and/or update complex manual test case within the approved and appropriate test tool(s)
  • Build complex manual test case with automation in mind by following test management guidelines
  • Execute complex automated test cases and automation scripts
  • Update complex automation test cases while trouble shooting errors
  • Update automation parameterization files using NFCU's UFT framework; update as needed when trouble shooting errors. Utilize xpath tools to troubleshoot web element issues
  • Write end to end moderately complex automated test case independently, ensuring adherence to established policies and best practices
  • Create all required documentation (test results, knowledge articles, sign-off, etc.) following Navy Federal Testing Standards, tools and templates
  • Document defects/bugs and follow established defect/bug lifecycle procedures and policies
  • Perform advanced level root cause analysis for identified defects/bugs, provide detailed documentation and insights to developers for solutioning
  • Collaborate with peers, Developers, business partners and all other stakeholders to ensure business needs are communicated, documented, and satisfied
  • Perform analysis related to changes in policies, procedures, and products; determine downstream impacts on testing
  • Analyze and identify moderately complex process, data or technology improvement opportunities, provide recommendations to include risk considerations and downstream impacts
  • Provide recommendations related to testing practices to facilitate process optimization
  • Participate in project and product team meetings, collaborating and contributing while maintaining line of sight on goals and objectives

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Experience and willingness to generate training content and deliver the content to a wide range of skill sets.
  • Experience implementing and using Generative and Agentic AI in software testing.
  • A working knowledge of AI Large Language Models (LLM) trained to process massive test-related data sets to drive human-assisted and autonomous software testing.
  • This role will develop AI test solutions that are aware of and operate within corporate boundaries and standards.
  • Experience in REST API testing.
  • Experience with SQL, preferably MySQL.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience in all phases and ceremonies employed in Agile based software development and testing efforts, preferably with the Scrum framework.
  • Experience in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for complex systems.
  • The candidate must exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and effective analytical skills.
  • Experience collaborating and communicating effectively with technology roles such as Application Engineers, AI Engineers, AI Architects, and Data Engineers.
  • Experience communicating with business representatives during requirements gathering, testing, and test reporting; and with solution architecture and AI governance boards.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in agile settings to understand business requirements and support the development of test automation that supports DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Advanced skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Skill in mentoring and training less experienced staff.
  • ASTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL)
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of banking/financial industry standards and practices.
  • Experience developing YAML based Azure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience transforming processes and enabling teams to implement Shift Left testing.
