This is a Hogan / Mainframe SME Engineer role focused heavily on DXC Hogan legacy-system reverse engineering and migration to Pismo/cloud.
What the client is really looking for
Core requirement
* 10+ years of DXC Hogan experience this is likely the hardest requirement.
* Strong COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
* Ability to understand existing Hogan modules and convert undocumented legacy business logic into clear specifications.
* Experience supporting legacy-to-cloud/core migration.
Key technical work
* Reverse-engineer Hogan modules such as:
* IDS
* CIS
* PEP+
* ULS
* DDA
* Rail-specific modules
* Extract business rules embedded in COBOL.
* Build extraction interfaces using:
* VSAM
* DB2
* IBM MQ
* Implement dual-write, rollback, and legacy change-control mechanisms.
* Document functionality so it can be migrated/decommissioned safely.
