Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Product Owner/Product Manager who is product-led, outcome-driven, and enterprise-focused. This role is responsible for driving enterprise value from the ServiceNow platform by owning product strategy, roadmaps, and business outcomes across one or more ServiceNow domains.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ServiceNow capabilities, strategic service architecture, service catalog design, CMDB, and Common Service Data Model (CSDM). This individual will ensure that the ServiceNow platform is organized as a well-architected portfolio of services aligned with business capabilities, technology strategy, and risk management objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Ownership
- Define and own the product vision, multi-year roadmap, and strategic outcomes for assigned ServiceNow product areas.
- Translate enterprise and business priorities into clearly defined product outcomes aligned with technology strategy, risk posture, and regulatory requirements.
- Make informed decisions regarding capability usage, configuration versus customization, and technical trade-offs while balancing speed, sustainability, and platform health.
- Drive adoption and continuous improvement of ServiceNow capabilities across the enterprise.
Strategic Service Architecture & Catalog Management
- Define and govern service architecture within ServiceNow, ensuring services are intentionally designed, clearly defined, and consistently structured.
- Establish service taxonomies and map services to business capabilities and enterprise workflows.
- Ensure service and catalog designs align with:
- CMDB integrity
- Data quality standards
- Reporting requirements
- Downstream integrations
- Drive service simplification and rationalization initiatives to reduce duplication and operational complexity.
- Ensure services are designed to be scalable, reusable, and easily consumable across the enterprise.
Enterprise Stakeholder Leadership
- Serve as the primary product authority for business leaders and technology stakeholders.
- Lead structured discovery, requirements gathering, and prioritization discussions focused on maximizing enterprise value from the ServiceNow platform.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through transparent communication, roadmap planning, and value-based prioritization frameworks.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to align ServiceNow capabilities with organizational objectives.
ServiceNow Capability Enablement
- Maintain deep functional expertise across ServiceNow platform capabilities, including:
- Workflows
- Data Models
- CMDB Concepts
- Integrations
- Reporting
- User Experience Design Patterns
- Partner with Architecture, Infrastructure, and Asset Management teams to define and implement resiliency boundaries within CMDB.
- Define and enforce CMDB governance processes to improve data quality, operational visibility, and communication.
- Guide engineering and delivery teams to maximize out-of-the-box platform capabilities and establish standard usage patterns across ServiceNow implementations.
Required ServiceNow Domain Expertise
Experience with one or more of the following ServiceNow domains:
- IT Service Management (ITSM)
- IT Operations Management (ITOM)
- IT Asset Management (ITAM)
- Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD)
- Customer Service Management (CSM)
- Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in ServiceNow Product Ownership and Product Management.
- Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and enterprise implementations.
- Strong expertise in:
- Service Architecture
- Service Catalog Design
- CMDB
- Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
- Asset Management
- Workflow Design and Governance
- Experience designing scalable, enterprise-wide ServiceNow solutions.
- Strong understanding of platform governance, data quality, standardization, and sustainability principles.
- Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams in large enterprise environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to balance business needs, technical architecture, and long-term platform sustainability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading enterprise ServiceNow transformation initiatives.
- Experience implementing governance frameworks and operating models for ServiceNow platforms.
- Familiarity with regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements within enterprise environments.
- Experience managing large-scale ServiceNow service portfolios and enterprise catalog strategies.
