About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Designer with deep expertise in crafting high‑quality native mobile app experiences. This role is ideal for a designer who brings strong craft, platform fluency, and exceptional design judgment to complex mobile problems. You will lead experience quality across iOS and Android through hands‑on design work, thoughtful decision‑making, and close cross‑functional collaboration.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will shape compelling, intuitive, and platform‑appropriate experiences that elevate usability and user satisfaction. You’ll partner closely with product managers, developers, UX Writers, and UX Researchers to design, test, and iterate on digital experiences before and after launch. Your work will play a critical role in delivering distinctive, effective solutions that balance desirability, feasibility, and viability within our product model.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Problem Framing
- Define new solutions that align with organizational vision and user needs using structured problem‑framing approaches and tools such as Jira and Figma within an agile‑like product development model.
- Address specific product capabilities—such as optimizing flows or improving engagement—based on direction from team leads or managers.
Mobile Platform Expertise
- Apply platform‑specific best practices to common design challenges using human‑centered design methods.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of where iOS and Android interaction patterns intentionally diverge, and make thoughtful decisions about when to follow native conventions versus branded system components.
- Design and evolve experiences that respect the distinct expectations, navigation patterns, and interaction models of each platform while maintaining a cohesive product and brand experience.
Design Execution & Craft
- Create polished, intuitive mobile experiences that translate complex features into simple, usable interactions on small screens.
- Design thoughtful micro‑interactions, motion, and animation to improve clarity, feedback, and usability (e.g., progressive disclosure, gesture‑based navigation, zooming/exploring data visualizations).
- Leverage and extend the design system to meet product and user goals, knowing when to push boundaries responsibly.
Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate design rationale clearly and confidently to cross‑functional partners and senior stakeholders.
- Use facilitation and storytelling to foster collaboration, build trust, and strengthen long‑term relationships.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure high‑quality implementation and maintain design integrity throughout development.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor junior designers, providing guidance on mobile best practices, design methodologies, and platform nuances.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, Product Design, Web Development, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in a related field, including at least 3 years in UX, interaction design, product innovation, or research within a product development team
- Proven experience leading projects and contributing to multiple shipped mobile app experiences
- Expertise in defining differences between iOS and Android experiences, balancing native vs. branded UI, and leveraging platform capabilities (e.g., dynamic type, screen readers, touch targets, motion preferences) to meet accessibility standards
- Ability to design and articulate solutions for complex mobile interactions, including micro‑interactions, motion, and animation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain design decisions and clarify success metrics
- Demonstrated application of human‑centered design with awareness of business and technical constraints
- Self‑directed, proactive, and motivated to drive progress and meaningful outcomes
- Ability to translate research insights into actionable design decisions
- Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with a focus on delivering business value
- Extensive experience leveraging and evolving design systems
- Relevant agile experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in diversified financial services, wealth management, or other highly regulated, trust‑based domains
- Adaptive and/or mobile web design experience
- Familiarity with current UX research methods, user‑centered design processes, and human‑factors principles
