Opportunity Overview Team Overview: The Technology Campus Network Engineering & Operations team is responsible for the delivery of highly available and high performing distribution and access layer switching, wireless networks, distributed network analyzers and switching services, for Edward Jones' data center, cloud, colocation, lab and head quarter environments. This includes operations and maintenance activities, as well as research, design, and implementation of new solutions, knowledge of data center operations including power, environmental, fiber and copper cabling. We are seeking a talented, experienced, and innovative individual who can adapt and deliver results in this challenging and rapidly changing environment.
What You'll Do... - Fulfill requests from other teams in the Home Office locations for work needed in the data centers, labs and office spaces. Typical work includes port configuration, cabling requests, network port assignments and network troubleshooting. This will require work outside the 8-5pm, Monday-Friday, time frame.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades to insure the reliability of Firm network and lab systems, routers, switches, and wireless access points.. This will require work outside the 8-5pm, Monday- Friday time.
- Respond quickly to network issues and outages, determine the root cause of the problem, and restore network functionality. This will require work outside the 8-5pm, Monday-Friday, time.
- Assist/advise internal customers with interfacing their systems to network services. This will require work outside the 8-5pm, Monday-Friday time frame.
- Perform on-call duties 4-6 times per year where you'll respond to network outages 24 hours a day for seven consecutive days.

Position Requirements What Experience You'll Need... - A bachelor's degree in Information technology preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with enterprise network solutions (routing, switching, wireless, distributed network analyzers, network management platforms, network test systems and packet analysis)
- Experience with wireless networking
- Experience with access and distribution layer switching
- Experience with distributed network analyzers and network testing products
- Experience with Terminal servers
- Experience with packet/protocol analyzers and network management/monitoring tools
- Automation and scripting skills are a plus
- Experience with investigating complex network related issues to resolution
- Ability to analyze requirements, and develop and deploy technical solutions according to business objectives
- Ability to analyze requirements, determine feasibility, costs, benefits, etc., and subsequently develop and present a business case / recommendation
- Ability to mentor and build the technical skills of others, and foster a strong and collaborative team environment
- Ability to work with fiber and copper data cabling
- Knowledge of AC and/or DC power
- Knowledge of physical computer systems.
What Could Set You Apart.... (4-5 bullets of preferred skills) - Experience with Service Now, Jira, Aha, Agile and SCRUM methodologies
- Automation and scripting skills are a plus
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout the organization and with partners / vendors

- Knowledge of brokerage or financial company processes
Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid,

**Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026.
