Job Description

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to join our growing data and analytics team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI development, data modeling, SQL, ETL processes, and business intelligence solutions. The candidate should be capable of working with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-level dashboards and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Create complex DAX calculations, measures, KPIs, and data models.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL workflows.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements.
• Build scalable and high-performing BI solutions for enterprise reporting.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Azure, Snowflake, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for Power BI reports.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), data governance, and best practices.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business teams in Agile environments.
• Support production deployments, enhancements, and issue resolution.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Power BI development.
• Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data visualization.
• Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Experience with ETL/Data Warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Azure, Snowflake, or similar databases.
• Experience in data modeling including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
• Strong understanding of Power BI Gateway, Workspace management, and report deployment.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Synapse.
• Knowledge of Python or scripting is a plus.
• Banking, Healthcare, or Insurance domain experience preferred.
• Microsoft Power BI certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead reporting initiatives.
