Genesis10 is currently seeking a Risk Management Professional for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves providing risk oversight and advice to the Line of Business on risk management issues. The ideal candidate will identify and mitigate risks, manage the Enterprise Process for Issues Management, and collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance risk management procedures and ensure compliance with enterprise policies.
Responsibilities: - Provide risk oversight and advice to the Line of Business (LOB) on risk management issues
- Identify risks to which the LOB is exposed, implement measures to prevent and mitigate losses, and monitor risk outcomes
- Recognize all risk categories including credit, market, operational and compliance, as well as direct risk staff or participate in establishing risk management procedures and standards
- Maintain the Enterprise Process for Issues Management and associated Policies, Procedures and Standards
- Engineer and implement risk remediations for payments
- Re-define controls, implement and sustain them to comply with enterprise and audit
- Work with GT risk to ensure their governance routines and reports accurately depict the current state of issues and exams
- Identify control deficiencies, discuss, review, and make recommendations for process improvements and initiate recommendations as needed
- Engage in key initiatives designed to enhance process and oversee their implementation
- Engage with Executive key stakeholders and partners to provide feedback and influence change, collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Verify and debate risk management analysis and report where inconsistencies exist
- May serve as Product Owner for Enterprise Issues Management system of record including communication of the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and with some guidance, create and prioritize stories in the product backlog
- Participate in challenging existing risk management procedures and standards and defining improvements
- Conduct execution of risk framework activities including independent monitoring and testing of controls and risk management processes for the Line of Business (LOB)
- Ensure adherence to the policies and procedures established by the company
- Manage risk requests, breach remediations and provide risk effective challenges for front line units
- Develop risk management analyses, reports, and approval procedures and guidelines on risk limits by type of product and/or transaction
Requirements: - 10 years of financial industry with risk experience
- Laws, Rules and Regs acumen and experience
- Intense attention to accuracy, detail, and consistency
- Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively challenge information
- Strong communication skills: ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally and to feel comfortable delivering insights and recommendations to senior management
- Comfortable taking initiative and being resourceful/entrepreneurial
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-specific environment
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize daily tasks with project work as well as ad-hoc requests
- Proven presentation skills
- Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Data Governance Protection and Data Management
- Data quality and analytics experience
Desired skills: Pay range: $60.42 - $68.42 per hour
